Meneer Vis ging uit reizen..

Mr. Vis went on a journey...  This cabinet is part of the permanent collection of Zuiderzeemuseum.[read_more] It is presented in a house from Zaandijk, which, in the nineteenth century, was the residence of the paint manufacturer Jan Marinus Vis (1856-1918). He had travelled all over the world. From his far-away destinations, he brought home several tea and coffee services from Belgium, Germany, France, England, Sweden, Norway and the USA.  These cups and saucers are given a place in an autobiographical cabinet for Mr Vis, telling the stories of his overseas’ adventures. A Euro takes you on a brief journey around the world, just like Mr Vis did in his time. Acquired by the Zuiderzee Museum. Composition by Aart Strootman.
